a bit of a chip on their shoulder and dominated both sides of
the ball for the 5th straight win this season and third straight
shut out. Mike Taranto was 12-16 for 245 yds, 3 TDs through
the air and ran for another score. Taranto hooked up with Frank
Menechino twice for scores of 33 yds and 27 yds, while also
hitting Scooter Abbott for a 12 yd TD reception. Glenn Pedro
ran for 100 yds and 2 TDs. |

of 20 yds and 52 yds. |

had a big intereception that led a defense that included stellar
play from Adam Wisseman, Rob Lane and Devon Simmons- all who
recorded key sacks. Ken Sparry, David Reali and Angelo DeFilippis
also had great defensive games. |

Falcons finish the regular season undefeated with a strong running
game. Glenn Pedro ran for 107 yds and Scooter Abbot ran for
79 yds and 2 TDs as the Falcons totalled 204 yds with key blocking
from the strong front line of Jason Mediate, Jamie Valinotti,
Rich Marchetti, Felix Vigiant and Anthony Curran. Pedro had
a 70 yd kickoff return for a TD to spark the Falcons in the
2nd half. |

Falcons opened up the playoffs as the #1 seed in NYC. The
Defense got back to form by throwing another shutout allowing
only 52 yds of total offense, 30 of which came within the
game's closing minutes. Glenn Pedro started things
off with a 77 yd kickoff return for a TD to open up the game.
Mike Taranto tossed TD passes of 9 yds to Jay Sullivan and
34 yds to Frank Menechino. Rob Lane and Chris Dai tackled
the punter in the endzone for a safety. |

Abbott stepped up big to help the Falcons advance to City Championship.
Abbott carried just 9 times, but amassed 157 yds and scored
3 times on runs of 87 yds and 19 yds and also caught an 8 yd
toss from Mike Taranto for another score. Glenn Pedro added
a 3 yd TD run and Frank Menechino finished with 4 catches for
62 yds. Chris (Int) and David Reali had great games defensively,
as did Adam Wisseman (INT, fumble recovery). |

| MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!!!! Scooter
Abbott, Glenn Pedro and Jay Sullivan lead the Falcons to their
2nd City Championship in 3 years. Abbott ran for 124 yds, Pedro
ran for 112 yds and a TD and Sullivan caught a 28 yd TD pass
from Mike Taranto and returned an interception 32 yds for another
TD. It was Taranto's bootleg 6 yd TD run behind the lead block
of Jamie Valinotti in the 3rd quarter to put the Falcons up
2 TDs and on to another title. Sullivan finished with 2 picks
and Frank Menechino added a pick as well. The Falcons finished
ranked #1 in NYC and #5 in NY State. |
